From Colombia, the new project ATARRAYO comes to the French label Radio Chiguiro Records with an EP mixing electronic music with Colombian folklore.

ATARRAYO is the masculine name for atarraya, an ancient instrument used by different peoples to fish and catch fish. ATARRAYO himself wants to implement this analogy to imply that he wants to capture your mind through the musical maya where all the tradition and folklore of his tradition is woven from an avant-garde perspective that connects with the global public.

The alchemy of traditional music is born from the manufacture of the instruments: wax, cardón and geometry come together to give life to the bagpipe. From the sacrifice of an animal for its leather, the design of the wood and the technique to interpret the drum are some of the traditions that are still present. ATARRAYO is not ATARRAYO without these ingredients and part of its evolution in finding the perfect amalgam between those ancient sounds with modern music that connects with people on the dance floor.

Since dancing has always been the ritual par excellence to release sorrows and give thanks.
