Radio Chiguiro presents the third episode of 1PLACE4BEATS, a series of EPs dedicated to global electronic music. After Brazil and Egypt, we head to Reunion Island to meet four unique producers inspired by ancestral rhythms.

After a first EP of house-infused Brazilian baile-funk, the second episode of the series focused on experimentations around mahraganat and Egyptian chaâbi. The Chiguiro team is stopping today in Reunion island, a place naturally rich in musical gems. With maloya as a backdrop, Agnesca, Boogzbrown, Eat My Butterfly and BeBass deliver complex pieces where polyrhythms challenge electronic music, modeling the sound of their ancestors in the present.

For the artwork, each artist sent photos of their environment to Parallelemental, who created a fine collage, between nature and street atmospheres.
